We would like to introduce you to an exciting project that is primarily intended to benefit your own health and that the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich is organising in cooperation with Regatta München during this year’s Euro Masters Regatta:
As part of this year’s regatta, we are conducting a pilot study with the aim of preventing serious health incidents during the Euro Masters Regatta in Munich.
The long-term goal of our research work is to carry out a medical risk quantification of the participants and thus increase their safety before and during the races.
To this end, we kindly ask you to share health-related data with us in this short questionnaire.
In a first step, this data will be managed by our study team until the end of the regatta and provided to the regatta organizers and rescue service if required. In this way, efficient action in the interests of your health can be sustainably improved during the event in case of an incident.
After the regatta your data will be anonymized and evaluated for purely scientific evaluation and publication.
We kindly ask you to complete the first part of this risk quantification questionnaire. The second part of the questionnaire, labelled “voluntary”, is intended to find out more about you as a population of “Masters Rowers” and thus generate a better understanding of your concerns for future research projects.
Data is analyzed and managed by the medical research team (Dr Magdalena Bonleitner and Dr Michael Zyskowski) at the Technical University of Munich, Rechts der Isar Hospital.
For further information, please contact the head of the research group (Dr. Michael Zyskowski) at Michael.Zyskowski@mri.tum.de. Have fun in Munich and enjoy racing!
