Janik and Danny set off to cross the Atlantic in a rowing boat in December. In 2023 and 2024 they will tell their story and show their boat at our Euro Masters Regattas.<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n

Munich \u2013 13 April 2023.<\/strong> Regatta M\u00fcnchen e.V. is very pleased to announce that we will be featuring special stories alongside excellent industry partners at the Euro Masters Regatta.<\/p>\n\n

In July, Janik Prottung and Danny Schleicher, who make up Team Not Today Row as part of \u201cThe worlds toughest row \u2013 Atlantic\u201d, will be presenting their adventure to row 5000 kilometres across the Atlantic from December onwards for education and against ocean pollution. On their journey from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, Janik and Danny will not only conquer the ocean, but also themselves. Every two hours they take turns sleeping and rowing, looking after themselves and spending a total of 40 to 60 days among weather, waves, dolphins and sharks.<\/p>\n\n

All the while, they have one message: \u201cWe make the impossible possible.\u201d More precisely, through the Bali Children\u2019s Project, they are working to give children in Bali the opportunity to graduate from school.<\/p>\n\n

They are also committed to raising awareness about ocean pollution through the organisation Ozeankind e.V. This organisation runs SwopShops in Zanzibar and organises campaigns in German schools and cities. Their topic: How can we prevent plastic from entering our waters in the first place? M-START is an official sponsor of Team Not Today Row and will accompany Janik and Danny to their race start on 12 December 2023 and beyond. About Regatta M\u00fcnchen e.V.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Regatta M\u00fcnchen e.V. was founded in 2013 to continue the traditional successful international regatta operations at the 1972 Olympic Regatta Centre in Oberschlei\u00dfheim. Today, the association has established itself as one of the leading regatta organisers in Europe. Its annual \u201cMunich International Junior Regatta\u201d and the Euro Masters Regatta are among the most important events in the rowing calendar.<\/p>\n\n
